EmoryTech was created with a simple idea: technology should make things easier.
From troubleshooting everyday IT problems to building cloud systems, automating repetitive work, and creating custom digital solutions, EmoryTech focuses on practical technology that solves real problems.
BUILD. CONNECT. SOLVE.
For the image, I would use a technology-focused photo of you from behind or at an angle, similar to the images we have been generating. A laptop, server rack, networking equipment, or multiple displays would work well here.
Hi, I'm Josh Emory.
I'm the person behind EmoryTech.
I'm a Systems Engineer with professional experience supporting businesses and their technology environments. My work has given me hands-on experience with everything from individual computers and everyday support issues to Microsoft 365, cloud services, networking, security, servers, remote access, and business-critical systems.
What I enjoy most is figuring things out.
Sometimes that means troubleshooting a problem that should be simple but isn't. Other times it means connecting several different systems, automating a repetitive process, or finding a completely different way to accomplish something.
That problem-solving mindset is what became EmoryTech.
Professional Experience
Technology Is What I Do Every Day
EmoryTech isn't based only on a hobby or an interest in computers.
Technology is also my professional career.
My experience includes working with businesses across a wide range of environments and technologies, including:
Microsoft 365 & Cloud Services
Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID, and cloud-based business systems.
Windows & Business IT
Windows workstations, servers, Active Directory, remote environments, applications, hardware, printers, and troubleshooting.
Networking & Remote Access
Business networking, VPNs, firewalls, Wi-Fi, remote connectivity, and secure access.
Security & Identity
Multi-factor authentication, account security, identity management, device security, and access controls.
Automation & Integration
Finding ways to reduce repetitive work and connect systems through automation, workflows, scripts, shortcuts, and custom solutions.
Certifications
A Strong Technical Foundation
I currently hold:
CompTIA A+
CompTIA Network+
CompTIA Security+
These certifications cover the core areas of IT support, networking, infrastructure, and cybersecurity, but most of what I bring to EmoryTech comes from applying those skills to real-world technology problems every day.
Why EmoryTech?
I Like Building Things That Work
One of the reasons I started EmoryTech is that I constantly find myself building solutions for personal life or personal business solutions that end up being great solutions for end users.
A business needs a better way to share its contact information.
A process takes ten steps when it should take two.
Someone has an idea for something they want their phone to do.
A company has several cloud systems that do not communicate well.
A computer problem keeps coming back.
There is usually a way to make it better.
EmoryTech gives me a place to take that problem-solving approach beyond traditional IT support and build solutions around what someone is actually trying to accomplish.
